Product information
DuPont™ Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap – a single-layer breathable diffusion membrane for walls with increased fire resistance (flammability class B-s1,d0)
Advanced manufacturing technology creates a product with exceptional properties: it is completely wind and water impermeable, yet has high vapor permeability. Tyvek® products are distinguished by a thick functional layer that ensures durability and longevity. The membrane is laid directly on the thermal insulation, leaving no additional air gap.
Unique feature:
The new patented FireCurb™ technology combines all the properties of Tyvek® Housewrap with the added benefit of reducing the risk of fire spread.
Advantages:
- Self-extinguishing upon ignited
- Limited flame spread
- Additional additives significantly reduce heat droplet formation and smoke generation
- All Tyvek® Housewrap characteristics remain intact
- Low flammability helps limits fire spread
- Long-term structural protection
- Increased safety during installation
Recommendation:
Use Tyvek® adhesive tape to seal joints. Only a continuous structure will be completely wind and watertight.
Technical data:
- Name: 2066B Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap
- Composition: HD-PE (high-density polyethylene) with special additives that inhibit the spread of fire
* Test with mineral wool (free hanging) B-s1, d0 / Test with wood D-s2, d0
